Guided Coaching for Adult Runners Who want more than just miles

Most adult runners hit a point where they are putting in the work but not seeing results. They run the same routes at the same pace and wonder why nothing changes. The truth is, running more isn't the answer — running with intention is. That means understanding your form, training your speed systems, and having a coach who can guide you through it.

Our Adult Speed & Form Training Group offers structured sessions that combine running form and technique drills with speed development work. Every session is coached and purposeful. If you are new to running, we will focus on building endurance and teaching proper technique from the ground up. If you have been running for some time and want to get faster, we will put you through organized speed sessions designed to improve your fitness and help you run faster.

This is not a running club where everyone does the same workout. Group sizes stay small so we can give individual attention, answer your training questions, and adjust the session to meet you where you are. Whether your goal is to run your first mile without stopping, break 25 minutes in a 5k, or shave time off your half marathon — every workout is built to move you toward that goal.

Show up with a goal. We will help you get there.

What You Will Work On

Each session is a mix of form work, speed training, and endurance — tailored to where you are and where you want to go.

Running Form & Technique

Targeted drills that improve posture, foot strike, cadence, and arm mechanics. Better form means more efficient running and fewer injuries.

Speed Development

Structured intervals and tempo work designed to build the aerobic and speed systems that make you a faster, more efficient runner at any distance.

Endurance Building

For newer runners, we progressively build aerobic fitness and running tolerance so you can run longer and more comfortably over time.

Dynamic Warm-Up & Cooldown

Every session starts with a guided warm-up and ends with a proper cooldown — building good habits that prevent injury and improve recovery.

Coaching & Feedback

Real-time form cues, pacing guidance, and answers to your training questions. Small groups mean you get the attention you need.

Goal-Specific Training

Whether you are training for a race, chasing a time goal, or just want to feel stronger as a runner — your workouts are directed toward your specific objectives.

Improve Your Race Times

Chase a new PR in the 5k, 10k, half marathon, or marathon. Great prep for popular Ohio races like the Columbus Marathon, Cap City Half, Emerald City Half, Ohio State 4 Miler, Hot Chocolate Columbus, and Nationwide Children’s Columbus events.

How Coached Training Differs From a Running Club

Running clubs are a fantastic way to stay active, meet other runners, and stay motivated. We love them. This program is a different experience — it adds the structure, coaching, and individual attention that help you improve as a runner.

Running Clubs

  • Great for community and social running
  • Group runs at a shared pace
  • Fun, flexible, and open to everyone
  • Perfect for staying consistent and motivated

Adult Speed & Form Training Group

  • Real-time coaching and form corrections
  • Structured speed and technique development
  • Progressive training that builds on each session

Who This Is For

This program is open to adult runners of all levels. You do not need to be fast, experienced, or training for a specific race to join.

New Runners

You are just getting started and want to learn how to run properly from day one. We will build your endurance and teach you the mechanics so running feels natural, not forced.

Experienced Runners

You have been running for a while and want to break through a plateau. Structured speed work and form refinement are the missing pieces most runners never get.

Runners Coming Back

You used to run and want to get back into it safely. We will help you rebuild your fitness without overdoing it or falling back into old habits.

Goal-Driven Runners

You have a time, distance, or performance goal and want expert coaching to get there. We will target your training toward that specific outcome.
