Coaching Scope & Medical Disclaimer

What our coaching services cover, and where care from a licensed healthcare professional begins.

Purpose of Our Coaching Services

Run For Performance provides athletic coaching, movement observation, exercise programming, technique instruction and performance education. Our services are intended to help athletes and runners develop their skills, fitness, movement efficiency and athletic performance.

Coaching Is Not Medical Care

Run For Performance coaches do not diagnose injuries, illnesses or medical conditions. We do not provide medical treatment, physical therapy, rehabilitation or other licensed healthcare services.

Running-form reviews, movement assessments and performance observations are coaching evaluations based on visible movement patterns. They are not medical examinations and should not be interpreted as a diagnosis.

Pain, Injuries and Medical Concerns

Athletes experiencing pain, injury symptoms, significant physical limitations or other medical concerns should consult a physician, physical therapist or other appropriately licensed healthcare professional.

A coach may recommend that an athlete pause or modify training and seek professional medical evaluation when symptoms or circumstances appear to fall outside the scope of performance coaching.

Athletes should follow restrictions, treatment plans and return-to-activity instructions provided by their licensed healthcare professionals.

Training Recommendations

Exercises, drills and training recommendations are provided for coaching and educational purposes. Individual responses to exercise and training vary. No coaching program, movement assessment or exercise recommendation can guarantee particular results or guarantee that an injury will not occur.

Emergency Situations

Run For Performance services are not intended for medical emergencies. Anyone experiencing a medical emergency should contact emergency services or seek immediate medical attention.
