Recommended Training Gear

We are often asked what gear we recommend, or what gear we use during our practice sessions. Many of the links below are Amazon affiliate links which will take you directly to the product. We ‘may’ earn a small commission should you purchase through our links, however there is no additional cost or obligation to you.

Running watches

Track Starting Blocks

We use Eastern Atlantic Competition starting blocks. There are others on the marketr, but this is a reputable brand and has lasted me several seasons.

Wickets

We use 6″ wickets for Cross Country, Track and Agility training. It helps reenforce knee drive, body awareness, and midfoot strike when set up properly. You will want a minimum of 6 wickets to get started.

Resistance Bands

Bungie bands are a great training tool to provide resistance / power / explosiveness when tied to a stationary object. The bungie band is attached around a solid object like a post, and the athlete wears the belt. (We do recommend that we teach you how to use it properly during one of our sessions before trying them at home)

Fitness Loop Bands are great for isolated strength exercises and we sometimes use them for developing strength.
