RFP Elite Track and XC Club
A USA Track and Field club for Run For Performance athletes who want to keep competing after the school season ends, in official USATF and AAU events across Ohio and the United States.
Competing beyond the school season
School track and cross country seasons are short. USATF and AAU run their own youth meets outside those seasons, with athletes competing in age divisions rather than by grade, and with paths that lead from local meets through regional qualifying to national championships.
To enter those meets an athlete generally has to be attached to a club. That is what RFP Elite is: the club our athletes compete under, so a season does not have to end when the school season does.
Who can join
RFP Elite is open to athletes currently enrolled in one of our training programs. The club is how our athletes compete beyond the school season, not a separate team that can be joined on its own. See what is open for enrollment.
High school athletes are welcome. If a high school athlete wants to compete outside their school team, whether under the RFP Elite name or unattached, contact us before entering any meet. Rules on competing outside a school team vary by association and by time of year, and we want to get an entry right rather than put an athlete's school eligibility at risk.
How It Works
Athletes will train with Run For Performance through our normal training programs and, if interested, have the opportunity to be entered in events through our RFP Elite Track and XC club team.
Athletes wishing to participate in USATF and AAU events must purchase athlete memberships through those respective governing organizations that is holding the event that the athlete wants to participate in. After registering, you will send us their member athlete number to add to our club. Please contact us before signing up.
What You Need to Know
- •Athletes/families will need to purchase a RFP Elite racing singlet and are responsible for all transportation arrangements and travel costs for their family.
- •AAU youth athlete memberships are approximately $22–24 annually.
- •USATF youth athlete memberships are $35–40 per year.
What we handle
Coaching and training, club affiliation, and entering your athlete in meets under the RFP Elite club team.
What families handle
USATF or AAU membership, the RFP Elite racing singlet, and all travel arrangements and costs.
What's next
We are in the process of establishing the club and planning our first team events. Athletes who join now are founding members. If your athlete is already training with us and you want to be told as soon as events are set, get in touch and we will add you to the list.
